March class

(quote picture made with Canva!)

This morning we looked at Canva, a new graphic design tool similar to PicMonkey and had a tour around Pinterest.

Canva has some simple tutorials on good graphic design as well as a good help page (not quite a support line but better than nothing!)

The Pinterest basics page explains the ins and outs of Pinterest and is a good introduction if you're still not sure what it's all about. And the Goodies page has the link to set up a Pin It button in your web browser (just scroll down a little). There are also apps for iPad and iPhone if you are keen.

If you would like to improve your typing, I can recommend playing typing games (these games are on a children's website, but are great). I know, it sounds a bit odd, but games make learning fun! And if you want to improve your mouse skills, you can't go wrong with playing card games like Solitaire.

Next month we will spend the first hour (perhaps more) on Pinterest, setting up an account if you don't have one already, creating boards, finding people to follow and pinning from all over the internet. Even if you aren't that keen on being online, you can always just setup the account up for the day and then delete it.

One final link for when you're having a cuppa! See you in April.
